ABOUT US
The Voodoo Lounge Bar & Grill has been a hidden cornerstone of downtown Huntsville nightlife for decades.

Tucked beneath the south side of the Madison County Courthouse Square, Voodoo is Huntsville's original underground bar. Originally established in the 1990s (formerly Judge Crater’s and Tavern Under the Square), Voodoo was purchased in 2007 by local blues musician Lance Almon Smith, who has shaped it into one of the city's most authentic live music venues. Each year, the anniversary is celebrated on the first weekend in April with the same spirit that built it --- great music, good drinks, and a packed house.

Inside, dim lighting, exposed brick, and a winding stairwell create an atmosphere that feels worlds away from street level. It's intimate, a little mysterious, and unmistakably alive.

Live music is the heartbeat of Voodoo. From blues and rock to local favorites and late-night jams, the stage is always close, the crowd is part of the show, and the energy is electric. Whether you're here for the music, the drinks, or just the vibe, Voodoo isn't just a bar, it's a living, breathing experience.
